Automate YouTube with Claude

Ask Claude for YouTube videos and it schedules them through postqueen. Add the connector once on the web and the same tools answer on your phone.

Quick start

Add postqueen as a connector on claude.ai and YouTube scheduling is available in every chat, including the phone apps.

What Claude can run on YouTube

YouTube from any device

The connector belongs to your Claude account rather than a machine, so the same YouTube tools answer on the web, on the desktop and in the phone apps.

Windows that fit YouTube

Tell Claude when your subscribers are most active and it schedules videos into that window on YouTube, day after day, without reminders.

Native video, native timing

Video uploads travel through the same postqueen call, so Claude ships YouTube videos with real media attached and the publish time already set.

Drafts until you are ready

Ask Claude for drafts only. They sit on the postqueen calendar unscheduled, so you can edit them and pick the time yourself, and nothing reaches your subscribers on YouTube until you do.

Three steps to a full queue

Step 1

Discover YouTube

Claude calls postqueen to list your connected channels and sees what YouTube supports, so drafts start from real capabilities, not guesses.

Step 2

Draft with Claude

Give it the brief. The agent writes YouTube-shaped videos and proposes publish times that match when your subscribers are around.

Step 3

Check and publish

Look over the queue on the postqueen calendar and change anything you want. postqueen publishes each post at its time, and Claude can pull the results after.

What YouTube allows

Claude reads these limits from postqueen before it composes, so a draft that would be rejected never reaches the queue.

Frequently asked questions

How does Claude connect YouTube to postqueen?

Over MCP, as a custom connector added once on claude.ai. Claude has no terminal, so there is no CLI to install: the connector carries your API key and the YouTube tools then answer in the desktop and phone apps too.

Can Claude schedule YouTube videos at exact times?

Yes. Give it exact slots or a rule like mornings at nine and it sets publish times on the videos it creates, so your subscribers see them at the right moment.

Will Claude publish to YouTube on its own?

Only if you ask it to. Tell it to save drafts and nothing is scheduled: the videos wait on the calendar until you set a time. Tell it to schedule, and they go out at the times you can see, which is the setup most people move to once they trust the output.

Can one brief cover YouTube and other channels too?

Yes. postqueen connects 30 channels, so Claude can turn the same brief into YouTube videos plus adapted versions for every other channel you run.

Does Claude access cost extra on postqueen?

No. The agent uses your regular API key and plan limits: unlimited posts on every plan, and channel counts from 5 on Creator up to uncapped on Ultimate.

Why did my scheduled YouTube upload fail?

The usual causes: the YouTube connection expired and needs a reconnect, the channel is not verified and the video runs past 15 minutes, the file is larger than YouTube accepts, or the daily YouTube Data API quota behind the connection is used up. postqueen shows the error on the post so you can fix it and requeue.

Can I self-host YouTube scheduling, and is there a free trial?

Both. Every cloud plan starts with a 7-day free trial and you can cancel anytime. Self-hosting the open source version is free with Docker; for YouTube you register your own Google Cloud project, which starts with a default daily API quota that covers a handful of uploads per day until you request more.
