Schedule social media with OpenClaw

Message your agent from the chat apps you already use and let it draft, schedule and publish through postqueen, completely hands free.

What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open source personal AI agent that runs on your own machine and talks to you through your existing chat apps. Give it a goal and it takes real actions, including running the postqueen CLI to manage your social channels.

Message From Anywhere

Reach your agent from the messengers you already have, with no new app to learn. It picks the task up and runs it on your machine.

Runs Real Commands

OpenClaw executes the postqueen CLI directly, so posts, uploads and analytics are all one chat message away.

Scheduled & Proactive

Set recurring jobs and the agent checks for new content on a schedule, publishing without you lifting a finger.

How OpenClaw works with postqueen

Install the postqueen CLI on the machine where OpenClaw runs, set your API key, and the agent discovers every command from the CLI's JSON interface.

Connect
# Give OpenClaw access to postqueen
npm install -g postqueen
export POSTQUEEN_API_KEY=your_api_key

# Then just ask in chat:
# "Post my launch thread to X and LinkedIn
# tomorrow at 9am"

Works with every channel

OpenClaw drives the same pipeline on all 30 channels postqueen supports. Pick a platform to see the pairing in detail.

F.A.Q.

Frequently asked questions

Does OpenClaw have to stay running for my posts to go out?

No, and this is the part worth understanding. OpenClaw creates the post; postqueen holds the schedule and does the publishing. Once a post is on the calendar it goes out at its time whether or not your machine is awake, so a laptop that closes at midnight does not take Tuesday's queue with it.

Where does my postqueen API key end up?

On the machine OpenClaw runs on, as an environment variable it reads at launch. It never travels through the chat app you message from: the messenger carries your instruction, and the agent on your own hardware carries the credential.

Can I tell it to draft rather than publish?

Yes, and it is the setup most people start with. Ask for drafts and nothing is scheduled: the posts wait on the postqueen calendar until you set a time. Once the output stops surprising you, ask it to schedule directly.

Do I need OpenClaw to use postqueen?

No. The dashboard, the CLI, the API and the MCP server all work without it. OpenClaw is for the case where you would rather send a message than open anything.
