Automate X with Claude

Ask Claude for X posts and it schedules them through postqueen. Add the connector once on the web and the same tools answer on your phone.

Quick start

Add postqueen as a connector on claude.ai and X scheduling is available in every chat, including the phone apps.

MCP supported
Custom connector
# claude.ai, Settings, then Connectors
# Add a custom connector:

# Then ask:
# "Draft three X posts for this
# week and put them on the calendar"

What Claude can run on X

X from any device

The connector belongs to your Claude account rather than a machine, so the same X tools answer on the web, on the desktop and in the phone apps.

Windows that fit X

Tell Claude when your followers are most active and it schedules posts into that window on X, day after day, without reminders.

Media attached, sized right

Images upload in the same postqueen call, so X posts arrive with their media in place instead of a bare link.

Drafts until you are ready

Ask Claude for drafts only. They sit on the postqueen calendar unscheduled, so you can edit them and pick the time yourself, and nothing reaches your followers on X until you do.

Three steps to a full queue

Step 1

Discover X

Claude calls postqueen to list your connected accounts and sees what X supports, so drafts start from real capabilities, not guesses.

Step 2

Draft with Claude

Give it the brief. The agent writes X-shaped posts and proposes publish times that match when your followers are around.

Step 3

Check and publish

Look over the queue on the postqueen calendar and change anything you want. postqueen publishes each post at its time, and Claude can pull the results after.

What X allows

Claude reads these limits from postqueen before it composes, so a draft that would be rejected never reaches the queue.

Frequently asked questions

How does Claude connect X to postqueen?

Over MCP, as a custom connector added once on claude.ai. Claude has no terminal, so there is no CLI to install: the connector carries your API key and the X tools then answer in the desktop and phone apps too.

Can Claude schedule X posts at exact times?

Yes. Give it exact slots or a rule like mornings at nine and it sets publish times on the posts it creates, so your followers see them at the right moment.

Will Claude publish to X on its own?

Only if you ask it to. Tell it to save drafts and nothing is scheduled: the posts wait on the calendar until you set a time. Tell it to schedule, and they go out at the times you can see, which is the setup most people move to once they trust the output.

Can one brief cover X and other channels too?

Yes. postqueen connects 30 channels, so Claude can turn the same brief into X posts plus adapted versions for every other channel you run.

Does Claude access cost extra on postqueen?

No. The agent uses your regular API key and plan limits: unlimited posts on every plan, and channel counts from 5 on Creator up to uncapped on Ultimate.

Why did my scheduled X post fail?

The common causes are an expired or revoked X connection, a post over the character limit for your account type, an unsupported media mix such as images together with a GIF, or a rate limit on the API tier behind the connection. postqueen shows the error on the post itself so you can fix it and reschedule.

Can I self-host X scheduling, and is there a free trial?

Both. Every cloud plan starts with a 7-day free trial and you can cancel anytime. The open source version is free to self-host with Docker, and for X you register your own developer app so the connection runs on API access you control.
