Frequently asked questions
How does Hermes connect X to postqueen?
Install the postqueen CLI where Hermes runs commands and export your API key. Every command returns JSON, so the agent can create, schedule and list X posts reliably.
Can Hermes schedule X posts at exact times?
Yes. Give it exact slots or a rule like mornings at nine and it sets publish times on the posts it creates, so your followers see them at the right moment.
Will Hermes publish to X on its own?
Only if you ask it to. Tell it to save drafts and nothing is scheduled: the posts wait on the calendar until you set a time. Tell it to schedule, and they go out at the times you can see, which is the setup most people move to once they trust the output.
Can one brief cover X and other channels too?
Yes. postqueen connects 30 channels, so Hermes can turn the same brief into X posts plus adapted versions for every other channel you run.
Does Hermes access cost extra on postqueen?
No. The agent uses your regular API key and plan limits: unlimited posts on every plan, and channel counts from 5 on Creator up to uncapped on Ultimate.
Can postqueen publish X threads?
Yes. Write the parts in order and postqueen posts them as a native thread, each part replying to the one before it. There is no reminder telling you to come back and paste part two by hand.
Do I need X Premium or a paid API plan to schedule posts?
You do not need Premium for standard 280 character posts, threads or media. Premium only matters if you want to publish long posts past the standard limit. On the cloud plans the API access sits behind the connection and is handled for you; if you self-host, you supply your own X developer app credentials.
