## How to connect

1. On DEV, open Settings, then Extensions, and generate an API key. Copy it right away, because DEV shows it only once.
2. In PostQueen, open Add Channel, pick DEV (dev.to) and paste the key.

- DEV rejects an article whose canonical URL another article already uses.

### How do I connect DEV?

Generate an API key in DEV under Settings, then Extensions. In PostQueen, pick DEV (dev.to) in Add Channel and paste the key. No other sign-in is needed.

### Can I cross-post an article and keep the canonical link?

Yes. Set a canonical URL, or point it at another post you scheduled in PostQueen, such as your blog post; its live URL is filled in when the article is published.

### Can I publish under my DEV organization?

Yes, if you have already published an article for that organization. Only those organizations appear in the picker.

### Can my AI agent publish to DEV?

Yes. Add PostQueen to your AI agent through the MCP server or the CLI and ask it to schedule a Markdown article with a title, tags, a cover image and a canonical URL.

### Can I keep a DEV article as a draft?

Keep it as a draft in PostQueen while you work on it. Once you schedule it, it is published on DEV at that time, because DEV drafts are not used.
