# How to schedule social media posts with Claude

Connect PostQueen to Claude once, then just ask. Claude writes the post, checks each network’s rules and puts it on your calendar.

Claude is good at writing posts. What it cannot do on its own is publish them. It has no access to your Instagram, LinkedIn or X accounts, and it cannot hold a post until Tuesday at 9am. PostQueen adds exactly that part. Once the two are connected, you ask Claude for a post and it lands on your PostQueen calendar, ready to go out through each network’s official API.

Setting it up takes a few minutes and you only do it once. Here is the whole path, from connecting your channels to your first scheduled post.

## What you need

- A PostQueen account. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial, with $0 due today.
- At least one channel connected in PostQueen, such as Instagram, LinkedIn or X.
- Claude on the web or in the desktop app. The Free plan allows one custom connector, and Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise work too.

You add the connector on the web or in the desktop app. After that it follows your Claude account, so it also works in the Claude apps for iPhone and Android.

## Step 1: Connect your channels in PostQueen

In PostQueen, open Add Channel and connect the accounts you want to post to. Each network has its own rules. Instagram, for example, needs a Business or Creator account. Claude can only post to channels you have connected here, so start with the ones you use most.

## Step 2: Copy the PostQueen address

Claude signs in to PostQueen, so the address you paste has no key in it. It is the same for everyone:

```
https://api.postqueen.ai/mcp-oauth-dynamic
```

Paste it exactly as it is, with no slash at the end. Only a workspace admin can approve the sign-in in step 3, because it gives Claude access to the whole workspace. If you are not an admin, ask one to set it up.

## Step 3: Add PostQueen to Claude as a custom connector

- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it PostQueen and paste the address from step 2 as the URL.
- Leave the OAuth client ID and secret empty. Claude registers itself with PostQueen.
- Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to PostQueen and approve access.

PostQueen is not listed in Claude’s connector directory, so searching there will not find it. Adding it as a custom connector is the way in, and Claude’s own help pages describe exactly this for any remote MCP server.

### On a Team or Enterprise plan

An Owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings, then Connectors, then Add, Custom and Web. Members then connect it for themselves from Customize, then Connectors.

## Step 4: Switch it on in a chat

Start a new chat, open the + menu (or type /), choose Connectors and switch PostQueen on. Then check that it works by asking:

```
List my connected social media channels.
```

Claude answers with the channels you connected in step 1. If it does, you are done with setup.

Hand this job to your agent

Muse, Claude, ChatGPT or any AI agent writes the post, and PostQueen puts it on your calendar first.

## Step 5: Ask for your first post

```
Write a LinkedIn post about our new spring menu
and schedule it for Tuesday at 9am.
```

Claude works through it in a few steps you can follow in the chat. It looks up your channels, reads the rules for the network you picked, such as the length limit, the settings that network needs and the media it accepts, and then creates the post. Each step shows up as a tool call:

- Finds your connected channels with `integrationList`.
- Reads the rules and settings for each network with `integrationSchema`.
- Creates the post with `integrationSchedulePostTool`, as a draft, for a set time or to go out now.

When it is done, open your PostQueen calendar. The post is there at the time you asked for, and you can still edit, move or delete it before it goes out.

## Ask for drafts if you want to read first

If you would rather check every post yourself, say so. Ask for drafts and Claude saves them on your calendar as drafts. Nothing publishes until you schedule it.

```
Draft three posts for this week about our spring menu.
Don’t schedule them yet.
```

> Scheduled or drafted, every post lands on your calendar first.

## Requests that work well

- Turn this article into a LinkedIn post, an X thread and a Threads post for tomorrow at 9am.
- Plan five posts for next week, one each weekday at 11am, on Instagram and Facebook.
- What is on my calendar this week?
- How did my LinkedIn posts do last week?
- Make an image for this post and schedule it on Instagram for Friday at 6pm.

Claude reads each network’s rules before it writes, so a thread for X gets split to fit and an Instagram post gets the settings Instagram needs. To use a photo or video from your device, ask Claude for the PostQueen upload box and add the file there.

## Sign in, or use your API key

The sign-in from step 3 stays until you revoke it in PostQueen under Connections, then Approved Apps. If you would rather not sign in, a workspace admin can copy the API key from Connections, then API Keys, and paste this as the URL instead:

```
https://api.postqueen.ai/mcp/YOUR_API_KEY
```

Anyone who has that link can post to your channels, so keep it out of screenshots, shared documents and public code. If it leaks, rotate the key there and paste the new link into Claude.

## If something does not work

- PostQueen does not show up in the chat: open Connectors in that chat and check that it is switched on.
- Claude says a channel is missing: connect it in PostQueen first. Claude only sees channels connected there.
- You are on the Free plan and already use a custom connector: the Free plan allows one, so remove the other one or upgrade.
- You cannot approve the sign-in: only a workspace admin can. Ask an admin to connect PostQueen for your workspace.

Using Claude Code in your terminal instead? It connects with a single command, and [the Claude Code guide in our docs](https://docs.postqueen.ai/agents/claude-code) walks you through it.
